If you're going to be staying in London this winter, instead of visiting at a sunny destination, then fear not! Read this blog post to find out some of the BEST things that you could be doing in London to make your winter, an exciting one.

I have included prices, dates and where to book also to make your life easy, so get booking to secure your wintertime fun.

1. Winter Wonderland

Where: Hyde Park

Price: FREE to enter. However, charges apply for rides, ice skating, big top shows, the observation wheel, Magical Ice Kingdom and Bar Ice. (information provided by Winter Wonderland)

When it's on: From 21 November 2019 to 05 January 2020

Time of operation: Open daily (excluding Christmas day 25/12/2019)

I'm sure that we all know that Winter Wonderland is one of the most talked-about winter festivities. It's definitely worth visiting with your boo, friends or even family!

It's a great time to bond with them, have some fun by going on the crazy rides, drinking warm mulled wine to get in the Christmas Spirit and eating all the festive candy that you can stomach.

When I visited last year, I had such a great time an would 100% recommend it. *adds to bucket list page*

2. St Christopher's Place

Where: St Christopher's Place

Price: FREE to enter. However, charges apply and vary depending on which restaurant or Cafe you choose.

When it's on: Open daily

Time of operation: Open daily (excluding Christmas day 25/12/2019)

St. Christopher's place is a hidden gem, located very close to Oxford Street, boasting of over 20 restaurants and cafes.

Tip: If you don't find anything in this area, then you can head to the vibrant Kingly Court in Carnaby to eat delicious food from around the world.

3. Prince Edward Theatre

Where: Prince Edward Theatre (Old Compton St, Soho, London W1D 4HS)

Price: Varies depending on which show and time you choose

Where to book: BOOK HERE

Time of operation: Musicals show every week, you can choose if you want to go for an afternoon or evening show. (usually 2.30pm or 7.30pm)

This is definitely one of the best ways to spend your winter in London. What's better than trying something new like the theatre for a date night, or a night out with friends and family?

There are plenty of musicals and other genres of films to choose from.

4. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter

Where: Studio Tour Dr, Watford WD25 7LR

Price: £50 approx.

Time of operation: Varies on time of booking

This is a fun and unique way to explore London. You will get the opportunity to tour the Warner Brothers studio and see some of the locations that were used in filming the legendary Harry Potter.

5. Madame Tussauds

Where: Marleybone Road, Marleybone, London NW1 5LR

Price: £27

Time of operation: weekends 9am-4pm

weekdays 10am-4pm

Duration: 1.5-2.5 hours

If you've never visited a Madame Tussauds, then this is the perfect opportunity to do it. I think this activity is a good way to unwind with friends, have a pretend sing-a-long with Adele and take some really cool pictures with the realistic-looking wax figures of the Royal Family and other famous people.

6. City cruise

Where: River Thames

Enjoy the beautiful views of London from the river Thames, with the option of having lunch or dinner on board too! This is a great way to spend the afternoon or evening with a loved one.

7. Coco-Cola London Eye

Where: Lambeth, London SE1 7PB

Price: £30.

Monday to Friday: 11:00am until 6:00pm

Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am until 8:30pm

Enjoy spectacular views on London’s biggest attraction the London Eye . This is a great way to feel like you are truly being a tourist in London and there are plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby to make your day even better.

8. SEA LIFE London Aquarium

Where: Riverside Building, County Hall, Westminster Bridge Rd, Lambeth, London SE1 7PB

If you thought visiting the aquarium in London was a myth, then you're highly mistaken. SEA Life London aquarium is a the perfect place to visit in the heart of London, with many strange and beautiful creatures of the deep sea From astonishing views of Gentoo Penguins to tropical sharks, it's sure to be a fascinating day.

9. London zoo

Where: Outer Cir, London NW1 4RY

Price: £23 approx.

One of the must-do things while in London is definitely visiting the London zoo. This is a fairly affordable and fun activity to do during the day.You will head to Penguin Beach Live to see the penguins feast on delicious little fish in England’s biggest penguin pool!

Enter London’s only living rainforest with lush vegetation and warm tropical mist. Go on a journey high into the treetops to meet a variety of amazing rainforest species, including marmosets, tamarins, sloths and a tamandua.

Then step out of the light and into the all-new Night Life area where you’ll discover the bats, rats and rarer nocturnal wonders like the Slender Loris, armadillos and Potto who make the dark their home.

With Gorilla Kingdom, the serenity of the African forest has arrived in the urban jungle. Take the gorilla tracking trail and wind your way around the African forest environment. You will get breathtakingly close to the colony of western lowland gorillas.

10. The Shard

Where: 32 London Bridge St, London SE1 9SG

In London, we may not have the tallest skyscraper in the world like in Dubai, but what we do have is The Shard! Enjoy panoramic views of London from the 72nd floor of the shard and a glass of champagne.
